The English team comprises four English mother-tongue translators:
- John Pym (Section Leader)
- Lisa Morris-Sobczynska (Head of the English team)
- Rosie Arscott
- Sarah Waller
The team is responsible for translating official CERN documents from French into English and for writing the minutes of official meetings of CERN bodies.
It also edits and proofreads official documents, in particular those submitted to the Council and its committees.
The team is in contact with outside translation agencies and freelance translators for translations into languages that are not covered by its members and for work that they cannot handle within reasonable deadlines.
The team does not provide translations requiring official certification. For such translations, please consult the official list of
sworn translators of the Canton of Geneva.
